- In 1990 founded the Paediatric Urology Clinic, in the Athens Medical Center Hospital (biggest private hospital of Athens) , which runs until today.
- In 1992 received the new European Diploma «European Board of Urology» after exams at European level.
- In 2008 received the new European Diploma «European Board of Pediatric Urology» following European level exams.
- Served as Pediatric Urologist Consultant in Maternity Hospitals of Athens “Lito”, “Mother”, “IASO” and “Euroclinic for Children”
- Paediatric Urologist Consultant of Maternity Hospital “Gea” of Athens.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
- During my tenure as lecturer at the University of Besancon France, I taught many courses of Surgery, Urology and Pediatric Surgery for medical students at the University of Besancon and schools of Nursing and Midwifery at the same University
- From 1990 to 1992 I taught classes for students in the 5th year of Medicine at the University of Heraklion, Crete, by invitation of the late Professor of Urology Angelos Kranidis
- In 3 / 2009 trained Pediatric Surgeons of the Paediatric Surgery Clinic of the Makarios Hospital in Nicosia, Cyprus in endoscopic surgery for vesicorenal reflux
EDUCATIONAL TRAVEL
- Occasionally postgraduate studies with extended stays in : Childrens Hospital Saint Justine Montreal – Canada (Pr Homsy), Philadelphia USA (Pr Duckett), Mayo Clinic Rochester Minnesota USA (Pr Kelalis) and Pediatric Surgery Clinic of the University of Besancon France (Pr Aubert)
- Participated for many years in several workshops taking place across Europe to refine surgical techniques of the urogenital system of children
- Participated in many conferences of the” French Association of Urology”, “European Society of Pediatric Urology”, “Greek association of Urology & Greek Pediatric Society” as well as many other conferences related to urologic diseases of children
SPECIAL SPECIFICATIONS
- Wasthe first urologist in Greece with Urodynamic studies of children suffering from functional problems of the urinary bladder
- First introduced in Greece endoscopic urological surgery for children (reflux, ureterocele, posterior urethra valves, etc)
- Introduced to Greece the first surgery of hypospadias that does not require a stay of post-operatively catheter & hospitalisation or will require only one night hospitalization . Highlight of my surgical abilities include both endoscopic surgery and the surgery of hypospadias.
